1. How does the membership model work?
2. Do you accept insurance?
3. Do you offer virtual appointments?
Yes! As an established patient, you can choose between virtual and in-person visits based on your preference. However, we do require at least one in-person visit each year for a physical exam.
4. What conditions do you treat?
At Whole Her Science, we prioritize preventing chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease. Our mission is simple: we want to help you create health and prevent disease. In today’s environment—especially for women navigating menopause—chronic illnesses are often seen as inevitable. However, the truth is that most conditions requiring medications, such as hypertension and diabetes, are entirely preventable!
Somewhere along the way, we’ve been conditioned to accept these issues as normal, but they don’t have to be. If you’ve been diagnosed with a preventable chronic condition, our focus is on reversing it, not just managing it. While genetics play a role, the majority of your quality of life is shaped by the lifestyle choices you make. We are fully committed to guiding you in making those choices so you can live a vibrant, active, and fulfilling life at every stage.
5. What can I expect during my first visit?
Your first visit will include a comprehensive health assessment, where we will discuss your health history, symptoms, concerns, and goals. This includes comprehensive lab testing and a composition assessment using the InBody Scan. We’ll then work together to create a personalized, actionable plan that fits your lifestyle, focusing on nutrition, exercise, and overall well-being. This may include prescriptions when necessary.
6. Can Whole Her Science help with hormone therapy?
Yes! In coordination with our collaborating MD, we provide hormone management tools and provide hormone therapy (HT) for women in perimenopause and menopause if deemed beneficial. HT is not for everyone, but it is a game changer for some! We tailor each plan to your unique needs, helping alleviate symptoms and improve your quality of life. While the phrase "hormone imbalances" can be somewhat misleading—given that hormone levels are constantly fluctuating in the body—we do focus on addressing the symptoms related to these changes. It is essential that hormone therapy be tailored to each patient’s unique needs, as there is no one-size-fits-all solution for symptom management. We will assess your eligibility and discuss all associated risk factors. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive plan aimed at alleviating issues such as weight gain, fatigue, sleep disturbances, and mood changes. Our practice focuses on preventing chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease by promoting nutrition and movement that align with the natural design of the body.
7. What types of lifestyle guidance do you offer?
The Whole Her Medical Membership provides generalized nutrition and exercise guidance designed to meet your specific health needs and goals. Our approach focuses on fostering sustainable habits for long-term wellness and chronic disease prevention. For those seeking more in-depth meal planning, tailored exercise programs, and ongoing virtual support, we also offer a separate membership with an certified nutrition and fitness coach. This option can complement the Medical Membership or stand alone, giving you the flexibility to choose the level of support that works best for you.
8. How do I communicate with my provider?
As a Whole Her Science membership patient, you will have direct access to your provider through phone, text, email, or our secure patient portal. We believe in being available when you need us, ensuring continuous support between visits if and when needed.
9. How do I get started with Whole Her Science?
The first step for every patient is a free consultation, where we take the time to discuss your current health concerns and goals in detail. This initial visit ensures that our services align with your needs and that your commitment aligns with our mission to support your journey toward better health.
Optimizing your health is a partnership that requires effort from both sides. We’re dedicated to helping you feel your best and want you to feel confident in your decision to work with us. When you succeed, we succeed!
Our membership model offers the flexibility of an annual or monthly fee, providing you with access to personalized care, extended appointment times, and direct communication with your provider for unmatched quality, time, and convenience. Membership benefits include comprehensive lab testing, advanced body composition analysis with the InBody scan, customized health plans, proactive preventive care strategies, and the freedom to address health concerns without the time pressures common in traditional practices.
No, Whole Her Science does not accept insurance for our services. Our membership model allows us to maintain a limited patient base, giving us the ability to offer more time, personalized care, and convenient access to your provider via phone, email, or text when needed. However, you can still use your insurance for most recommended labs, diagnostic tests, specialist visits, and prescriptions. Additionally, many HSA accounts may be eligible for payment—check with your provider for details.
